Why We Only Use a Paid Content Management System

Here is one of the reasons we love Accrisoft Freedom.

Matt Taylor is working with our client - Hollidaysburg Area YMCA - to launch a new ySite. Initially we were looking at a launch date after the upcoming Christmas holidays. And then we came upon the following news item this afternoon:

"Joomla, the world’s second most popular web content management system (CMS), has been under sustained attack for several days, thanks to a nasty pair of vulnerabilities disclosed last week."

The screen shot at the top of this post shows you one of the repercussions of the current hack. 

And it demonstrates why we use Accrisoft Freedom for our Content Management System (CMS) of choice. Unlike Joomla, Freedom is not an open source CMS, it is a paid CMS. And while it is initially more expensive to go with a paid CMS, in the long run, it is worth it. Fewer security problems. Ease of use. Peace of mind.
